It’s a disturbing movie and the fact that it’s based on actual events makes it even more disturbing. The movie tells the story of Kathryn Bolkovac who tried to uncover the human/sex trafficking involving several UN officials. 

The writing, directing and acting all were top notch. No melodrama just the hard hitting story. Rachel Weisz was superb.

It looks so raw. The scene showing the girls’ living conditions was just horrid and it was supposed to depict the real conditions. The so called protectors were the perpetrators. She got fired and the fucking sicko officials never got prosecuted!! They were protected by the law.

How fucked up is this world? 2.5 million are trafficked and the “industry” has a profit of 9 fucking billions!!

A Beautiful movie. Well shot and acted.

Simon Russell Beale is such an endearing actor. Watching him play two distinct characters of William and Falstaff in a week is such a delight. 

Rachel Weisz was pretty good at playing the depressed character. I’m sorry but I didn’t like Hester. She was too .. maybe needy. She created a candy floss world with Freddie which was obviously not true. Every relationship has it’s ups and downs, we can’t go on getting depressed. You can either work on them or move on for go.

In my opinion Freddie was not an a-hole. It’s NOT because Tom played the character. I could relate with his issues and shortcomings. AND BABY YOU LOOKED FINEEEEEEEEE 

The scene where landlady tells Hester about love, was just brilliant!

I’m having so many Rattigan feels after watching this 

And how can I forget the soundtrack.. it was so so sooooooo good
